AltaPro AI — Alberta Professional AI — is the AI company of Unconventional Group Inc., based in Edmonton, Alberta. This policy explains what we collect on altaproai.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA.

What We Collect
Forms. When you request an audit, book a call, apply for access, contact us, take a quiz, or join the newsletter, we collect what you submit — typically your name, business name, email, phone, industry, and a description of what you want automated.
AI chat (Alta) and bot demos.Messages you type into our chat widget or bot demos are processed to generate a reply, using Anthropic's Claude API as our AI provider. If you share contact details in a chat, we treat them like a form submission so we can follow up. Don't paste sensitive information (health, financial, or ID numbers) into a chat demo.
Booking. If you book a call, the scheduling itself is handled by our booking provider (Calendly), which collects the details you enter there under its own policy.
Technical. Like most sites, we receive basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and may use aggregate analytics to understand how the site is used. We use rate limiting on our chat endpoints, which briefly processes IP addresses to prevent abuse.
How We Use It
We use what you share to respond to you, run your audit, prepare for a call, deliver the newsletter you asked for, and improve the site. Lead submissions are delivered to our team by email and stored in our customer relationship management (CRM) system, operated by our parent company, Unconventional Group Inc. We do not sell your information. Ever.
Who We Share It With
Only the service providers we need to operate, and only for that purpose: email delivery (Resend), AI processing (Anthropic), booking (Calendly), hosting (Vercel), and our own CRM. Each processes data under its own safeguards. We don't hand your information to advertisers or data brokers.
Client Data We Operate On
Where we build and run systems for a client, the business data those systems touch belongs to the client. We store it securely and use it to run the system we were hired to build — and, where the client agreement allows, to improve and expand our services and AI capabilities. We keep client data confidential and never expose one client's data to another. See our AI Ethics page for the principles behind this.
Retention
We keep lead and correspondence records for as long as they're useful for the relationship, then delete them. Chat demo conversations are not used to train AI models by us.
Your Choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time — email us and we'll do it. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Declining to provide information just means we can't follow up.
